C'est au cours de ses études de cinématographique en 1998 à La Rochelle que Cédric Nicolas se découvre une passion pour la photographie. Sa rencontre avec l'artiste photographe keiichi Taharra pour lequel il signe la bande sonore de la sculpture "Surfaces sensibles" est pour lui déterminante. Son diplôme des métiers de l'image obtenu, il embrasse la carrière de technicien audiovisuelle à Paris, en parallèle de son travail photographique.
En 2005, Il fonde l'association Triphase (www.assotriphase.fr) avec laquelle il produit en 2007 son premier court-métrage de fiction : "la poignée".
Avec son équipe, il développe le programme TV ZINC (www.tv-zinc.fr), une télévision alternative de comptoir diffusée dans les bars.
Ils ouvrent également, en collaboration avec l'association L'EV, la Galerie Photographique "Contraste".
En 2008, Cédric Nicolas affiche dans la rue, le premier numéro du journal photographique mural "POLART" (www.polart.fr). Cette même année, il propose à une vingtaine de photographes adeptes comme lui de l'image instantané polaroid de fonder le collectif photographique 1Instant (www.1instant.fr). Aujourd'hui composé de plus de cinquante photographes internationaux, le collectif 1instant propose une exposition itinérante de polaroids originaux.
En 2009, installé en périphérie nantaise, à Saint Sébastien sur Loire, il est invité a rejoindre l'Office Municipal de la Culture et en devient le trésorier.

It was during his studies in film in 1998 in La Rochelle Cedric Nicolas discovered a passion for photography. That same year, it has a score of his followers as photographers image of instant polaroid photography collective based 1Instant (www.1instant.fr). Now composed of more than fifty international photographers, the collective 1instant offers a traveling exhibition of original Polaroids.
In 2009, installed on the outskirts of Nantes, Saint Sebastien sur Loire, he is invited to join the Municipal Office of Culture and became its treasurer.
